Only 8 years in the making!!!

Jason's graduation was by far the best that I have been to. There were only 12 residence to honor, so it was very personal and entertaining!! They showed a few pictures of each as they talked about their accomplishments and awards, all the while peppering in some embarrassing stories. Then each graduate was able to say a few words.





I was so proud of Jason and the comments they made about him. The overriding theme of Jason's residency was how hard he worked to balance work and family. His director said that he had never had a resident so concerned about it and that he thought that no one had managed it as well as Jason. I was just beaming!!! Here he was the only resident his year to enter with kids, and I'm sure the only one with a prego wife carrying their fourth at the graduation. I know that the pressure was extreme and I know that I wasn't always understanding about his work commitments. It meant so much to me, that others noticed just what an amazing family man he is as well as an intibating, central lining, knife-wound mending, heart massaging, adrenaline junkie, kick butt ER Doc that he is!!!

The Pirhanas

Another summer, another year of swim team for the Rozeski's. We are now swimming for the Five Parks Swim Team and I am absolutely loving the team. I was always so disappointed with the level of coaching and stroke technique on our Fenton team, but now the kids are swimming in the same league that I grew up swimming for. The coaches are amazing, the meets run so much more smoothly and my kids are making so much improvement each week.





Swim team is a big commitment for the kids and the parents. Practice everyday, 6am arrival for meets and the parents volunteer to run the meets, which last between 4 and 5 hours each saturday. Still, I just love the whole thing. Plus, we now have a much bigger cheering section, as the grandparents are coming to watch the action. My poor mom had to do this for 13 years while I swam and now it is starting all over again. It means so much to me that they are so willing to give up their free time and support our kids.



Madeline's style is just too fun to watch. She seems to be in her own world, loving the cheering, but certainly not in any hurry to reach the other side of the pool. Last week she raced her first 50 Freestyle (2 laps) and we were so excited because she got second to last place!!!! GO MOO!!!



Jaxen is tearing it up!!! He has made league times for both his 25 and 100 frees. It has really helped him to have some instant buddies on the team. It is hard to move in the summer and he definetly is the kind of kid who needs some guy time!

Finally, moving day.


The scouts showed their merit, and made quick work of unloading the house,

But OOOPS!!! The truck is totally full!!! (Mind you Jason's dad is like the mater packer of the universe, not one space was wasted, floor to ceiling. The sad truth is that we had accumulated WAY more stuff than we realized. So, the scouts loaded the rest back in the house. The next day we managed to find another truck, gathered some amazing friends who went in late for work, and loaded the second truck to near capacity.


At long last, we were done...

Almost, I just had to wait for my friend who was going to clean the house......... After some confusion and miscommunication, she couldn't make it. PANIC set in. All of my cleaning supplies were packed, we had to head out to make out closing in Colorado and then....a miracle. After calling friend to ask her if I could borrow some cleaning supplies, she organized an emergency cleaning crew. Six wonderful ladies from the ward rushed over with buckets, brooms and 409 to help out a desperate woman. Writing it now, my eyes are full of tears. Babies in car seats slept in closets, little children helped wipe down walls, it was such a bitter sweet way to say goodbye to the people who had been like our family.

So finally, we were on our way. Now with 2 trucks and the van, we headed off, putting one kid in each car and rotating throughout the trip.

Our closing was at 4pm and we rolled into the parking lot at 4:03. We signed the papers and collapsed from exhaustion.
From there it is another hazy blur, but we moved in, said goodbye to Jason, upacked---mostly, and slowly recovered from the past 2 months of stress. Now, I am at last home in Colorado! Here is the lake behind our house. I just marvel at the beauty of this place...this is where I belong.

Here and Settled

Sorry, no pictures right now. Jason synced our computers before he left, and in the process, made my iphoto bite the dust. Still, I wanted to let you all know that we are here, mostly unpacked and feeling so relaxed after many months of stress. The move was very eventful, but we were so blessed through so many people, that we made it!!! We are missing Jason, but looking forward to his visit next weekend (hopefully he can fix my computer while he's home)

Camping with dad

Jason earned some big points with me last weekend, when we took all three munchkins camping, leaving me home for some relaxation. He did everything himself, the packing, the food and getting the kids ready. I was so impressed with his "mom" like organization of the troops. I on the other hand spent the evening cleaning my house, browsing Barnes and Nobles and going to see "Made to Order" all alone!





The kids came home messy and bounding with energy. Dad came home messy and exhausted. Mom was happy, happy and well rested to start cleaning up the gang in time for church. WAY 2 GO DAD!!!!!

Unemployed

I told Jason this morning that he is officially my sugar daddy.  I taught my last class at the good ol' Golds's Gym.  My very close friend Christin came to the class and with the combination of a sappy cool down song, hormones and seeing her made me cry!!!  I was so embarrassed.   My ladies are just so great and a few of them let me take their picture after a sweaty workout.  I really don't teach for the money.  I love the connection to the people and having a social outlet that I have free child care for :)  I am starting so many few phases right now, and today I am unemployed, and after a bit of sadness, right now I feel relief!

"George!!!!"

Jason scored some tickets so we could all go to one more Cardinals game.  This has become one of our families favorite outings since moving to this baseball-crazed town.  We were even able to bring Elijah for his first adventure at Bush Stadium.  It was a Saturday afternoon, 75 degrees and perfect!!!!  For Eli and Madeline the endless barrage of ballpark food was the main source of entertainment, but Jaxen is in to the game and ready to cheer for our big hitter Albert Pujos. Thanks to some $6.00 shaved ice, we made it through the 7th inning stretch, and on the end where the Cardinals won in the bottom of the 9th.Every time the crowd would yell "Charge!", Elijah raised his fist in triumph and yelled "GEORGE!!!"  It had the people around us cracking up, except for the cranky guy in the flannel shirt kept flashing us dirty looks for cheering and being generally happy.   Who ever heard of watching baseball in sullen silence?
